Apollo 12 Hasselblad Color Photographs Restoration Complete

APOLLOSPACE is pleased to announce that the restoration of all 572 color 70mm Hasselblad photographs is complete. All 4 color magazines of the Apollo 12 mission are now available for downloading at the highest resolution (5200×5200 pixels at 300 dpi). Apollo 12 took 2114 useable images on 14 Hasselblad Magazines. APOLLOSPACE will turn next to the 1438 black and white images from Apollo 12, beginning with the two magazines containing lunar surface photography.

Apollo 12 Magazine 46/Y contains 154 color images: NASA #s AS12-46-6715 to AS12-46-6868. This Magazine consists of lunar surface photographs from Apollo 12. Primarily images of astronauts descending the Lunar Module and working on the Moon and panoramic photos of the landing site.

In this 45 minute documentary, presented in beautiful 4K with fully restored NASA images, General Thomas Stafford describes his influences and inspirations growing up in Weatherford, Oklahoma, the development of the Apollo program, and all four of his NASA missions into space. This film features a sit-down interview with General Stafford in front of his actual Gemini 6 spacecraft as well as clips from a public talk he gave to a hometown crowd in Weatherford, Oklahoma on the 50th anniversary of his Apollo 10 mission.

Apollo 11 Magazine 45 (W) AS11-45-6697A to AS11-45-6714A. This Magazine consists of closeup stereo images (A and B images) of the lunar soil. The images were taken with the Apollo Lunar Surface Closeup Camera (ALSCC). The individual images are presented here, along with Red/Blue stereo 3D versions. Apollo 11 Magazine 44/V contains 157 color images, NASA #s AS11-44-6540 to AS11-44-6696. This Magazine contains photographs of the lunar surface, a beautiful color Earthrise, LM separation, the LM rendezvous with the CM, trans-earth insertion, and images of the Earth shortly before splashdown.

Some of the most iconic images from orbit are included in this magazine, including an incredible Earthrise series.

This Magazine consists of photographs of the Moon from the Command Module from a lunar equatorial orbit, as well as several photographs of the solar corona.

This Magazine has some great photographs of the moon from interesting perspectives along with some very nice individual craters, features, and limb photos.

Apollo 11 Magazine 41/P contains 189 black & white images: NASA #s AS11-41-5971 to AS11-41-6159. This Magazine consists of photographs of the Moon from the Command Module from a 60 nautical mile orbit. The first series of approximately 80 or so images are of the lunar limb as the Command Modules orbits the Moon and which includes an Earthrise series.
