APOLLOSPACE is pleased to offer a collection of Apollo 9 Astronauts Rusty Schweickart or Jim McDivitt signed Apollo 9 event covers which have been affixed with a remnant piece of Apollo 9 Kapton foil that was originally part of the protective insulation of the Apollo 9 Lunar Module “Spider,” and was flown in space to the moon from March 3-13, 1969. The Kapton from which the attached remnant was cut was originally from the personal collection of and was retrieved by Rusty Schweickart during the Apollo 9 mission and sourced from a larger approximately 5.75 x 4.5-inch multi-layered remnant pictured below and sold by him through Heritage Auctions June 2025, as Lot # 50148.

One of these layers was cut into smaller remnants with each measuring approximately 1/2- inch long which were then attached to a total of 10 Rusty Schweickart or Jim McDivitt (or BOTH!) signed vintage Apollo 9 event covers, marked as Nos. 1-10 A09-FOILCOVERS-SE2 (Signed Edition #2). 

The signed Apollo 9 flown Kapton foil covers are marked on the reverse and come with an APOLLOSPACE Letter of Authenticity fully describing the provenance of the Kapton foil.
