This lot of 3 larger remnants of Apollo 13 flown Kapton foil, Remnants B (lot UA141A), were originally part of the protective insulation of the Apollo 13 Command Module, “Odyssey,” and were flown in space to the Moon from April 11-17, 1970. These flown Kapton foil remnants were originally auctioned by University Archives from the personal collection of NASA Production Control Engineer William Whipkey (see accompanying images) and included multiple remnants which were purchased by APOLLOSPACE and marked as Remnants A through E as pictured in the gallery images. These larger-sized Apollo 13 flown Kapton foil remnants, Remnants B, measures approximately 3.75x.125, 1.25x.25, and 2.25x.25 inches in size.
