This large remnant of Apollo 13 flown Kapton foil, A13-KAPTONFOIL-RS1-B, was originally part of the protective insulation of the Apollo 13 Command Module, “Odyssey,” and was flown in space to the Moon from April 11-17, 1970. This flown Kapton foil remnant was originally sold by “The Right Stuff” from the personal collection of NASA Production Control Engineer William Whipkey (see accompanying images) and included three (3) large-sized remnants which were purchased by APOLLOSPACE and marked as Remnants A through C as pictured in the gallery images.
