This large remnant of Apollo 13 flown Kapton foil, Remnant 1C, was originally part of the protective insulation of the Apollo 13 Command Module, “Odyssey,” and was flown in space to the Moon from April 11-17, 1970. This flown Kapton foil remnant was originally auctioned by Goldberg Auctioneers from the personal collection of NASA Production Control Engineer William Whipkey (see accompanying images) and included three (3) large-sized remnants which were purchased by APOLLOSPACE and marked as Remnants 1A through 1C as pictured in the gallery images.
